We at Mogul are dedicated to the company’s long-term mission and vision. Our goal is to democratize and accelerate creativity in the film industry through community inclusion, improved access, and funding for innovative projects selected through the Mogul process. Our goal is to become the gold standard for production funding, regulation, and fan participation in the film industry.

Leadership Changes and Advisory Team
The team has been paying attention to what our neighbors have to say. Every text, Telegram letter, and direct inquiry has been read. As a next step forward, some main themes have been proposed. We’ve taken them all very seriously and gone over them with some of our lawyers and legal team in great detail. An active, loyal audience has become the north star in decision-making, helping to drive the growth of the Mogul network and mission to inspire the crowd to make movie decisions together. Mogul relies on its core principles when making decisions.
In order to establish confidence with our community, Mogul has acknowledged the need for improved communication from our core team to our end users. As a result, Mogul has made some organizational changes to assist us in entering the next step of our growth.
Lisa Sun will take over as interim CEO, and her first step to steer Mogul in the right direction has been to hire two senior strategic advisors with extensive film and finance expertise.
Gorav Seth and Paul Sparkes have agreed to join Mogul’s senior advisory team in order to help the company realize its vision of democratizing the film industry through blockchain technology.
With many years of senior leadership experience working with and supporting venture firms, Gorav brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. Gorav has worked in the capital markets for over 12 years at leading independent investment dealers in Canada, completing over $4 billion in transactions. Gorav spent over a decade in the film and television industry, serving as an entertainment producer with top talent and as a financier for independent feature films before entering the capital markets.
In order to align the film side with Mogul’s technology network, Gorav Seth and Paul Sparkes will work closely with the company’s team to provide oversight and help streamline the company’s processes and day-to-day operations. Gorav and Paul will be instrumental in achieving Mogul’s strategic goals and positioning the business for tremendous growth and awareness.
The STARS Utility Token
According to the company’s whitepaper, the STARS token is an in-app rewards, participation, group governance, and incentivization scheme that grants access to the Mogul network. Mogul Access Passes, which came with the purchase of STARS tokens on the Mogul website, provide holders with enhanced access to the Mogul ecosystem. Every Mogul consumer is required to have STARS tokens for access and participation, as they are tools to encourage interaction and community participation in the film industr
Access Passes give you access to more advanced features and functionality on the app. STARS tokens are also the de facto payment method on our network, and their value is derived from their utility within the Mogul ecosystem rather than from their utility outside of it. Mogul has no influence over the token’s secondary market perception.
STARS and an Access Pass NFT were purchased in the Access Pass sale, as described in our One-Pager. Users were given STARS right away, and a file representing the NFT was displayed in their Mogul profile, with instructions that the underlying token would be sent to their smart wallet once it was released.
As a DeFi and NFT network for the film industry, part of Mogul’s go-to-market growth plan was to introduce a staking and growth farming program where users could stake their STARS tokens on the Mogul platform. The program’s motivations are summarized in Mogul’s blog post introducing the program, and they remain the same: to expand the Mogul user base.
The team encourages users to use their STARS tokens in the Mogul app for growth farming, voting, and other activities, which will enable our early supporters to accumulate a large number of tokens that can be spent in the Mogul app over time.
Upcoming and Future Events
Mogul will continue to operate the company and network in a way that is consistent with its long-term goals. Supporters of Mogul recognize the platform’s potential and recognize that the STARS platform’s importance within our ecosystem has not changed. STARS holders will continue to have a say in which films are greenlit.
The film team is hard at work shortlisting independent feature films for the first-ever community-based film production vote. We’ll be launching a new call for scripts for the next round of funding really soon.
Rob Prior, a well-known Marvel and DC Comics artist, will be commissioned by Mogul to produce an original piece of art that will be turned into an NFT and sent to our Access Pass holders. This involves early backers who bought from the Top Up tier during the Access Pass sale, which allows users to top up their STARS tokens for in-app purchases. By Monday, more information on this extra incentive for Access Pass holders will be available.
This is part of the Mogul dedication to fans as they expand the value of STARS, Access Passes, and the Mogul ecosystem beyond the existing DeFi and NFT use cases of growth farming and buying NFTs in our marketplace and during auctions, as well as our conventional use cases of purchasing incentives and submitting projects to Mogul, which are both accessible to holders right now.
