Comdex is a protocol for creating and exchanging synthetic assets. This protocol is critical to Comdex’s aim of financial democratization. The production of digitally tradeable representations of a variety of assets allows investors to have global access to their investments.

Its passage into CeFi will be facilitated. By laying the groundwork for realizing this objective, synthetic assets, constructing links between cryptocurrency ecosystems and financial instrument markets.

About Comdex

On the Cosmos Ecosystem, COMDEX is a decentralized synthetics protocol that allows users to build entries from any synthetic asset. As a result of the exchange, the problem of complications and regulatory impediments associated with investing in financial assets will be solved, democratizing finance.

The Comdex ecosystem of solutions, which is built on the Cosmos Ecosystem’s key fundamentals of interoperability, can work together to collect liquidity from various DeFi ecosystems and make it easier to flow into CeFi (centralized finance). Synthetic assets are the bedrock of the Comdex idea, and they work by bridging the gap between other crypto ecosystems and financial instrument markets.

The Comdex synthetics exchange allows users to create and trade synthetic assets directly on the blockchain. cAssets are the coined synthetics on the chain. Each commodity on the network has its own cAsset token, which can be traded on Comdex’s AMM module, the cSwap. Some of the platform’s most important stakeholders are listed below:

  1. Traders are users of the platform with the intent to profit from the movement of the prices of cAssets on cSwap.
  2. Minters or borrowers are users who create the initial liquidity of cAssets on the platform. These users can lock up a range of Cosmos assets to mint cAssets. The collateralized debt position (CDP) created can be closed when the user returns the cAsset debt to unlock their collaterals.
  3. Liquidity providers are users that intend to earn trading fees and CMDX token rewards by providing liquidity in the form of cAsset pairs to liquidity pools on the cSwap.

The $CMDX Token

CMDX is the native token of the Comdex blockchain, and it will be important in supporting Comdex in realizing its mission of democratizing finance through an ecosystem of solutions.

$CMDX Tokenomics

The CMDX token distribution scheme and release schedule encourage active participation from a large percentage of the Cosmos ecosystem while preserving our long-term aim for growth through community engagement.
The CMDX token is inflationary, having a first-year inflation rate of 30% and subsequent inflation rates of 25% in each year, with a total supply of 200,000,000 CMDX.

Below is a graphical representation

100,000,000 CMDX will be minted at genesis and unlocked for 48 months with the following distribution-

Airdrops: 12.5% (12,500,000 CMDX)

At the time of listing, 2,500,000 CMDX tokens will be unlocked, with another 2,500,000 CMDX tokens unlocked every three months until the total allocation of 12,500,000 CMDX is issued. This release schedule aids in raising platform awareness and encouraging early adoption.

Here is the total distribution of the $CMDX tokens:

  1. Airdrops: 12.5% (12,500,000 CMDX)
  2. Community Dev Fund: 12.5% (12,500,000 CMDX)
  3. Treasury: 25% (25,000,000 CMDX)
  4. Team & Advisors: 25% (25,000,000 CMDX)
  5. Rewards: 25% (25,000,000 CMDX)

$CMDX Use Cases

  1. Governance :

Comdex users and holders of the CMDX token have complete control over the platform. Holders of the tokens can vote on future collaborations and integrations by staking their tokens in governance votes.

2. Rewards:

As a reward for early adopters and those who perform critical network services, add liquidity to the cSwap pools.

3. Transaction fees:

On-chain transaction fees, as well as additional platform fees, are collected to compensate validators and make network attacks more costly.

4. Stability:

The CMDX coin will have an algorithmic link with each synthetic asset to keep the price pegs strong.

5. Colletarization:

Comdex synthetics app users can collateralize their CMDX holdings to create and trade synthetic cAssets on Comdex.

Conclusion

On cSwap, Comdex’s AMM for synthetic assets, users can also trade or supply liquidity with the cAssets they build. Liquidity pools containing cAsset pairs are used to conduct trades on cSwap. CMDX awards and trading fees are used to incentivize the liquidity providers of these pools.
