THE JULY OF EPNS
July got off to a solid and enjoyable start for us. A month filled with a slew of new Frens, significant development progress, and a slew of exciting project announcements.
It’s time to look back on everything that happened this month!
EPNS has new Frens

As a result of this partnership, every token holder delegates for a certain governance project will be notified when new proposals are submitted. EPNS will also implement a notification system that will allow users to sign proposals directly from notifications if they so desire.
EPNS introduced this channel at the beginning of the month to remind users when new loans are ready for voting and when loans are due.
Users of Oasis.app will receive notifications straight to their wallets as a result of this partnership, allowing them to respond quickly to vital DeFi messages while maintaining data privacy.
This test program will send Ruler Protocol users messages when their loans are at least 24 hours away from expiration, when minting rcTokens and rrTokens, when the mint ratio drops drastically, and more.
This collaboration’s primary purpose is to notify Boardroom users about new proposals, voting, and brainstorming, as well as updates and results.
YAM Finance:EPNS is actively collaborating with the Yam.Finance team to develop a channel for YAM users to be notified of new governance suggestions.
Community Activities
With new projects and teams joining EPNS for Pilot Program Collaborations, we want to make sure that our communities have the opportunity to learn more about what integration entails and what the future holds.
With this in mind, we’ve been planning a series of cross-AMAs and community calls with our new Frens. This guarantees that our communities develop stronger as a result of their interactions, and that they have the opportunity to ask questions and even engage in events like our shared Meme Contests.
Development
Thanks to input from collaborators and the community, EPNS is becoming a much stronger protocol with a more full feature set. These are the key development projects that have kept us occupied this month.
Progressive Decentralized Governance
This is one of the main priorities, which EPNS intends to align and thoroughly test before their protocol goes live on Mainnet (end of Q3). All governance tools and rules are now in the process of being deployed and validated. In August 2021, the first step toward Progressive Decentralized Governance will be taken.
Chrome Browser Extension (Alpha) v0.1 is Live!
While this is still an Alpha version, the team is working on improving usability and UI, as well as introducing new features to enhance its possibilities.
Improvements to the Mobile App
The Android App now uses a push-pull feature (push to your phone, pull inside the app), as well as sluggish notification loading. EPNS is also working on implementing the first Channel Discovery features.
Plug & Play for Showrunners Framework
A focus for EPNS is to provide better tooling and ease of use to the Developer community. As a result, they are working to improve the Showrunners architecture in order to make the process of adding new channels easier. The future update to the showrunners framework will make it easier for developers to plug and play their unique channel logic.
Protocol optimizations and channel settings
EPNS is still working on improving the channel settings to provide you more options when it comes to setting up notifications. Another great feature they're working on right now is gas-free transactions for subscribing and unsubscribing to channels, as well as sending notifications.
Ethereum PUSH Improvement Proposal (EPIP)
EPNS began developing the ability to sign directly from a notification. For example, voting on a proposal with a YES/NO option.
Mainnet and Push nodes
another big bucket on our list. A lot of time this month was spent on feature validation and brainstorming. And while this is still a work in progress… someone mentioned something about staking nodes, and becoming blockchain agnostic
